Expression of Interest - Street Entertainers - Summer 2023

Tender description

Gosport Borough Council are organising a series of events in the Lawrence Square area of Gosport High Street on 5 consecutive Saturdays from Saturday 29th July until Saturday 26th August. We would like to hear from you if you are able to provide entertainment/activities between the hours of 10am and 3pm (exact timings to be confirmed depending on what is available). The type of acts we are looking for are as below and if possible a seaside theme would be a desired element: (although not essential) - Street Entertainment such as a story teller, dancer(s), cheerleaders, novelty characters etc - Children’s rides such as merry-go-round or go-karts - Musician/bands – acoustic or preferably with your own amplification (although this may be provided on some occasions) - Punch and Judy shows - Photo opportunity boards such as giant deck chair, selfie frame cut outs etc The entertainment you are offering should be free of charge to the public and this should be taken into account within your costs/charge. Gosport Borough Council will require Public Liability Insurance and Risk Assessments from all acts. (For information, the standard insurance level is £10 million for public liability).
