Design Team for New Corporate Headquarters

Tender description

The Trust wishes to secure a design team to assist in the repair and refurbishment of 5 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh so it can revert to being the Trust's corporate headquarters. 5 Charlotte Square requires a number of repairs, and conservation to elements such as existing floors, walls, ceilings and doors. The mechanical and electrical systems, toilets and kitchen facilities require to be overhauled, and there are damp issues in the lower areas of the building. The objective of the National Trust for Scotland is to create a facility which combines modern working practice and technology with the highest standards of building conservation. The building must exemplify the NTS’s approach to delivering against their 10-year strategy, which identifies three “pillars” of activity that combine to deliver NTS’s charitable purpose as well as ensuring their organisational growth and minimisation of environmental impact: Conservation, Engagement and Sustainability.
