Brief description: Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council are looking to appoint a Catering Supervisor to supervise the catering provision at West Smethwick Park Pavilion Caf? West Smethwick Park Pavilion forms the centrepiece of a 5.1 million restoration project at West Smethwick Park and opened in August 2022. The building houses a caf? and community spaces used for public and private events and community programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the catering offer at West Smethwick Park including building a menu that is reflective of the local community, supporting the catering offer for events and bookings and supporting the wider Visitor Services Catering team when required. The main function of the role is to supervise the day to day operation of the cafe to provide an efficient and effective catering service. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising a small team of catering assistants, support the catering manager and lead officer in the ordering of stock for the caf? and ensuring that the caf? is compliant with food hygiene and relevant legislation. The successful candidates must have o Training in catering to a level 2 o Food Hygiene certification o At least two years experience in a supervisory position within the catering industry Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions.
