Tender description
Purpose: Teaching School Hubs (TSHs) are school-led centres of excellence in professional development, delivering training and support to teachers and school leaders at every stage of their career. TSHs deliver the ‘golden thread’ reforms and are at the forefront of our national professional development infrastructure. They play a significant role in delivering the Early Career Framework (ECF), National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and have a role in signing off early career teachers’ induction. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to notify the market of a planned competition to designate TSHs for delivery for the next designation period of September 2024 – August 2028. The Department for Education (DfE) will be presenting an online market warming event for any potential applicants that are interested in becoming a TSH. The competition will launch in September 2023 with outcomes communicated to applicants in February 2024. Indicative timeline: A market warming event is scheduled to take place between 15:00-16:00 on 14 June 2023. Please note that a maximum of two people from each organisation can attend the event. This event will be recorded and a link to the recording will be provided to anyone unable to attend the time listed above. Other information: This notice is for information only and is not a call for competition. Accordingly, the Authority will not be liable for any bid cost, expenditure, work or effort incurred by an organisation in acting on the basis of this PIN. All future information will be issued via the DfE eTendering Portal. All information included in this notice is indicative and subject to change. Further information on TSHs can be found here: Teaching school hubs - GOV.UK (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/teaching-school-hubs).
