Supply of Total Station Survey Equipment

Tender description

This tender invites submissions for the provision of a high-spec Total Station survey instrument, with scanning functionality for 3D surface modelling, and two high-spec GNSS receiver instruments, plus all equipment accessories required for operation. This equipment package will be used to support research and teaching requirements across University College Dublin. Field applications will include the mapping of geomorphic features in fluvial and coastal settings, modelling of archaeological sites and excavations, reconstruction of the built environment and cultural heritage, precision agriculture applications, characterisation of rock layers and development of virtual outcrops, and mapping of geohazards and freshwater biological quality elements. This project requires that field data can be quality checked in real-time, which is critical for fieldwork operating under time constraints and in remote locations. The tender is seeking a modular equipment set-up which will allow the individual instruments to be operated as stand-alone equipment, and as an integrated instrument set-up to enable seamless field data acquisition between the Total Station and GNSS survey protocols.
