Safer Suicide Prevention Training; • The purpose of this opportunity is to build capacity within Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster’s local communities by raising awareness of suicide and self-harm through training and establishing a Suicide Safer Community. • The successful provider is/providers are to deliver the training offer with the initial support of Every Life Matters who will provide ‘train the trainer’ support, therefore building training and delivery capacity into the provider/s. • Every Life Matters (ELM) is a Cumbrian VCS organisation and national leader in suicide prevention, that has been providing suicide awareness training local to Cumbria. ELM will deliver ‘Train the Trainer’ training to 15 potential trainers within the successful local host on four training modules. ELM will not be part of the procurement process. • The training offer will aim to deliver a targeted suicide prevention training programme to statutory and voluntary organisations, communities and private sector agencies, to raise awareness within our communities to respond to residents and visitors who are in crisis or needs support. • If more than one provider is appointed, the providers will be expected to work together in a collegiate manner. • The Suicide Safer Communities training offer is over 3 to 5 years. The expectation from the provider is: a) Administration of the training b) Evaluation of the training delivered. c) Review/improve the training offer based on feedback given. d) Be an active member of the Suicide Prevention Steering Group in the bi-borough. • The Provider(s) is/are expected to demonstrate quality in addition to volume in bidding for the provision.
