Interworks Transportation of Sludge utilising Vacuum Tankers and Bulk Tipper Truck Services

United Utilities has its own in house Bioresource Transport Team who are responsible for the company’s Interworks Tankering Services. In accordance with EU driving regulations United Utilities Bioresource Transport Team has limited capacity to manage peak service demands and unplanned/reactive work requirements in conjunction with their scheduled services and therefore require the assistance from outside suppliers to help them manage this demand. During peak demands and unscheduled requirements the Bioresource Transport Team will utilise this framework for support. The Current Interworks Tankering agreement consists of 9 suppliers across the 5 United Utilities regions. When service support is required as part of this agreement, the Bioresource Transport Team make contact with suppliers and award the work based upon response, capacity and cost.
