ESB Networks has established a framework for a full end to end inspection of Transmission Overhead Lines (OHL's) which incorporates using UAV's to collect imagery for the inspection process and subsequently analyse the recorded imagery to carry out condition assessments and deliver results via a secure cloud-based platform. Lot 1: ESB requirements for capture, analysis, reporting and the management and storage of detailed data images related to ESB's overhead line network using drone technology, also referred to as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). General condition based assessment which includes structures, hardware, insulators, steelwork and conductors.
