High Mass Resolving Power, High Mass Accuracy, Benchtop Mass Spectrometry Instrument

Tender description

The instrument must provide 480,000 mass resolving power, < 1ppm mass accuracy, a dynamic range of > 5000:1, scan rates up to 40 Hz and rapid polarity switching < 1 second per cycle. It must be supplied with an electrospray ion source. Lot 1: Our large-scale instrument development mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) studies require high mass accuracy (<1 ppm), high mass resolving power (> 400,000) and the ability to couple to a range of third party and home-built atmospheric pressure developmental ion sources. These home-built ion sources were developed for coupling to a Thermo Orbitrap Elite instrument. This package must also have a small footprint, preferably benchtop, profile to fit into our laboratory space. Currently, of commercially available MSI instruments, the Thermo Orbitrap Exploris 480 is the only instrument to fulfil these requirements completely.
