Tender description

The Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) is focused on the rejuvenation of the old Brunel railway village in Swindon, the aspiration is to make the area one of interest and attractive to visitors and businesses. This is the final stage of the HAZ project and the main aim is to widen and resurface the Pavement on London and Sheppard streets, whilst also resurfacing the Roadway and install tree pits along the carriageway in the parking bays at the same time. We will also be undertaking work in both the Bristol Street and Sheppard Street tunnels. • Bristol Street - repairing some of the drainage issues and grit/sand blasting the walls. • Sheppard street- Grit/sand blasting the walls, resurfacing the cycle way and Pavement and installing new Pidgeon deterrents. We will also be installing a new “Pocket park” at the south end of Sheppard street tunnel including seating, planting and ambient LED lighting with provisions to be able to have a coffee van installed for rush hour pedestrians using the tunnel.
