Guernsey Prison Dental Services

Tender description

The States of Guernsey has a duty of care to provide prisoners with a Dental Surgery Service. The current service is provided by way of an onsite visit at the prison every 3 weeks, with a Dentist and Dental nurse in attendance. The underpinning principle is to provide prisoners with the same access and level of dental treatment, that would be available to the general population of the States of Guernsey and to carry out the duties as laid out in the Prison Administration (Guernsey) Ordinance 2013. The number requiring this service is approximately 80-100 annually. The requirement from interested parties at this time is to register their interest in this essential service opportunity. Further information relating to times and days of the surgeries can be shared as part of the tender process and/or as part of the contract agreement.
