CFM0138 - Bus Ticket Data Analysis

Tender description

A software solution to track and analyse bus journeys & ticket sales across Fife. This contract will be conducted as a service contract for the provision of an IT software solution to be able to collate bus data from the bus companies in Fife and allow filtering and interrogation of the information by service, day, time, journey, origin & destination and a facility to allow the Council to collate mileage for our supported services. The system should also provide ad hoc reporting queries on various passenger data. Additionally, the system should allow for audit reports to be created on journeys which have not operated. The output of the project should allow us to maximise performance of existing supported bus services and allow us to plan our bus routes more effectively. This needs to be a suitable software package that will allow monitoring of the subsidised bus services whilst ensuring best value. With budget constraints a robust system is required which will allow the Service to interrogate passenger data on Fife Council’s Supported Service together with maximising performance of existing supported bus services and plan bus routes more effectively.
