CEFAS23-82 RFQ for Sri Lankan Oiled Wildlife Response support under OCPP

Tender description

As part of the Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP), Cefas require support for our OCPP team to deliver a package of support on oiled wildlife response for Sri Lanka and Maldives. The Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP) was announced this year as a key bilateral aid programme under the £500m Blue Planet Fund. Through £5.7m of secured funding for 2021-22, the UK will work in partnership with countries to deliver marine science technical assistance across the 3 core themes of marine pollution, biodiversity loss and supporting sustainable seafood. Cefas are working on a package of support for Sri Lanka which includes undertaking training and capacity building to strengthen and enhance their preparedness for marine pollution emergency response. As part of this, Cefas require support for our OCPP team to deliver a package of support on oiled wildlife response for Sri Lanka and Maldives. Required work includes: WP1 - Country assessment, review and update of current OWR Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). WP2 - Provision of OWR training to specific in-country staff (online/ remote). WP3 - In-person support with a workshop in Sri Lanka covering OWR. WP4 - In-person support with a workshop in Maldives covering OWR.
