UKHSA_Scientific- Maintenance and Servicing of Don Whitley Equipment (WASPLab)

Tender description

UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is planning to award a contract via 2020/S 217-533940: UKHSA National Microbiology Framework Lot 1- Diagnostics to Don Whitley Scientific Ltd for the provision of maintenance and servicing of Don Whitley equipment at its Manchester site. The equipment covered by this contract includes WASPlab instruments and Whitley A95 Workstations. UKHSA believes that Don Whitley Scientific Ltd is the only supplier capable of carrying out maintenance and servicing for the equipment as the instruments are complex and their software has been progressively updated and developed over the past 6 years by Don Whitley, so they have intimate knowledge of the equipment on-site in Manchester, which would be near impossible to transfer to another service provider.
