Lapstone Playing Fields - Construction of two new natural turf cricket squares and associated irrigation, plus non-turf pitches and a 2-lane artificial net system (Phase 1)

Tender description

This project derives from the planning application for the Lapstone Playing Fields Enhancements (Ref: F/22/94174) which comprises of the construction of two new natural turf cricket wickets, associated groundworks, ball-stop netting, 2-lane cricket net, footpath upgrades and associated landscaping. This ITT is for phase 1 of the works only, consisting of Construction of two new natural turf cricket squares and associated irrigation, plus non-turf pitches and a 2-lane artificial net system and is dependent on a positive planning determination on 28 June 2023. Phase 2 will be tendered at a later date with a view to these works being carried out in Spring 2024. This ITT has been prepared by Eastleigh Borough Council (the “Authority”), acting on behalf of the landowner, Fair Oak & Horton Heath Parish Council for the purposes of inviting contractors with the appropriate skills, experience, procedures and financial standing to submit a tender for the construction of Lapstone Playing Fields Enhancements as described in the specification documentation attached to this ITT. Tenderers are encouraged to review the supporting information provided before submitting a tender, to fully acquaint themselves with the full extent of the nature and extent of the works required. Please note the client is seeking contractors with experience of delivering natural turf cricket squares to ‘ECB recommended guidelines for the construction, preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and outfields’.
