Which phase the project is in Alpha Existing team The existing team consists of a User Researcher, Business Analyst, Delivery Manager, Product Owner and Technical Architect. We are repsosible for the mangement, security, infratructure and applications for this product. Mobile provide devices for users who are on the move and need to continue to work. We continualy strive to make the best possbile product for our users and better the user experiance. We currently have a mixed estate of Iphone and Android devices, as well as a number of tablets in order to fulfil this demand. Mobile service is an essential part of our product. The service team are responsible for the distribution, refresh, incident resolvent and overall management of the mobile service. Service must remain user focused, and due to the nature of mobile, and its ever-changing nature, service must move with the advances in technology and the expectations of its users. Mobility has therefore undertaken a project to improve its service. This project looks at the process and procedures currently in place when and the changes and improvements needed to make it better. This project will be delivered in three phases: • Alpha- learning which potential solutions have the best chance of meeting user needs • Beta- Validating design decisions though the development of the service. Look at how the new service will integrate with existing services and prepare for transition to live • Go live- supporting the service in a sustainable way, iterate and make improvement. Where the supplied staff will work North West England Why the work is being done The discovery of this project looked to solve two main goals: 1. Understand the user needs and problems to be solved for people who work at DWP who need a smartphone​ 2. Introduce service standards and the service manual to the team to understand the benefits it might have for designing services from this knowledge we look to prioritise and organise pieces of work that will help streamline the process of getting a mobile device for DWP users. The business problem you need to solve We are looking for a User Researcher to help with the following 1. Understand the service need and introduce ideas and improvements for Alpha 2 Conduct research to test any potential prototype, whilst sharing knowledge with stakeholders 3. Understand how users will utilise the new service conducting usability testing 4. Gather users and conduct public beta 5. Support and identification of problems with the service conducting usability testing First user type: DWP Mobile User Enter more details about this user type: As a DWP mobile user I want to be able to order a mobile device so I can work remotely or on the move. In order to remain effective in my work I need to be able to access DWP products safely and securely from a device that can be quickly accessed with internet connection away from my desk, so that I can carry out my daily work with little to no interruption.
