UK Plant Breeders Rights, National Listing and Seed Certification

APHA on behalf of Defra, Scottish and Welsh Government are retendering the service provision for UK Plant Breeders Rights, National Listing and Seed Certification.<br/>The lotted contract shall be for the provision of technical services relating to UK legislation for Variety Listing (official registration) of new varieties of the main agricultural and vegetable crop species, plant variety rights and certification of seed of agricultural species.<br/>Variety Listing is delivered jointly with the Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Northern Ireland. <br/>APHA implement devolved Seeds marketing legislation in England and Wales on behalf of Defra and the Welsh Government. Scotland and Northern Ireland implement their own separate legislation.<br/>Most of this work is subject to UK Legislation, which require that no private gain be made. Lot 1: The likely lot structure is as follows:<br/><br/>Lot 1 - DUS testing of various species<br/>Lot 2 - VCU trial organisation<br/>Lot 3 - Disease testing<br/>Lot 4 - Independent data review<br/>Lot 5 - Seed Certification<br/>Lot 6 - Seed Testing.
