UCD Student Residence Phase 1 - Artwork Supply Contract

UCD Student Residence Masterplan Phase 1 comprises of two residential blocks – Block D & E, as well as a two-storey student centre ‘UCD Village’. ‘Block D’ is a five-core residential block with 455 No student bedrooms, ranging from six to ten stories in height. ‘Block E’ is a four-core residential block with 409 No student bedrooms, ranging from five to seven stories in height. Block E also contains a two storey 'Hub' section, which contains a laundrette and other ancillary spaces. The ‘UCD Village’ building is a two-storey student centre, with a 290 seat auditorium, restaurant, retail units, gymnasium, health & wellbeing centre, meeting rooms and office accommodation. It also includes a five-storey residential block which contains 60 No studio apartments. This gives a total accommodation of 924 No bedrooms. UCD, the Contracting Authority (CA), now intends to purchase Artwork for the University Student Residences Phase 1 under an ‘open procedure’. Artwork for this project will be supplied and installed in common-living rooms, bedrooms (including studios), corridors, ancillary areas – lounges etc and as such, the Artwork will need to be suitable (i.e. quality, aesthetically etc.) for use in these instances. Tenders are therefore being sought from appropriate suppliers for the Artwork as set-out hereafter in these documents. However, it should be noted that in order for tenderers to be successful in this process, tenderers will be required to satisfy the criteria set-out in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire that forms part of this documentation.
