Summary of the work Expected role activities will include: Maintain data centre management plans and instructions for operating complex business systems. Oversee the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures. Assessing Business performance for improvement recommendations against business requirements and design documents. Manage Data & Information Security Systems. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 5 Months Latest start date Friday 3 March 2023 Maximum Day Rate £900 per day Maximum £500.00 (Ex VAT) limit of liability for T&S over duration of 5 months. Who Speclialist Work With Civilian, Military and contractors within the MOD and wider Defence industry. What Specialists Work On Service Delivery Management within the following data centre hosting environments:- Data Centre MOD Boddington Data Centre MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol Plus various smaller Data Centre’s Skills & Experience • Please provide a Valid certificate for ITIL 4 Managing Professional. This must be sent to UKStratComDD-CM-CCT-Group@mod.gov.uk by the advert end date. 5% • Please provide evidence of experience maintaining IT service availability through infrastructure resilience and redundancy within a MoD, or other similar size/scale organisations environment. 20% • Please provide evidence of experience managing through-life infrastructure services and service planning within a MoD, or other similar size/scale organisations environment. 20% • Please provide evidence of experience identifying and delivering continuous service improvements within a MoD, or other similar size/scale organisations data centre environment. 10% • Please provide evidence of experience managing data centre infrastructure risk within MoD, or other similar size/scale organisations environment. 10% • Please provide evidence of experience managing data centre security as a building custodian within a MoD, or other similar size/scale organisations environment. 20% • Please provide evidence of experience managing hosting at Official and Secret within the Crown Hosting/Cabinet Office joint venture. 5% Nice to Haves Please provide evidence of any practical experience of G4S Symmetry Automated Access Control Systems. 10% Work Location Based at MOD Corsham, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 9NR. There will be some opportunities for Hybrid working as well as some travel to the Data Centre hosted sites. Working Arrangments 37 Hours per week Security Clearance A Valid SC clearance must be in place prior to the Contract starting and for the duration of the contract due to the projects the individual is required to work with. Additional T&Cs Extension Options: 6 months to Jan 2024 – Continuation of deliverables from the initial 6-month period, subject to financial approval. Could you please confirm if there is a preferred supplier or incumbent? There is no preferred supplier. The current incumbent is LA International Computer Consultants Ltd. 2. Can we assume £50,000 maximum limit of liability, do we require to hold the Framework limits required for Insurance“Maximum £500.00 (Ex VAT) limit of liability for T&S over duration of 5 months” To clarify, the £500 Limit of Liability for T&S is the maximum budget for Travel & Subsistence over the duration of the initial contract period. 3. What is the expectation for on-site presence? The on-site presence would be 2-3 days on site with any unexpected need to attend site be met as and when required. 4. Would you accept a candidate who has worked in the ITIL 4 Framework and is able to provide a detailed example? The criteria as advertised is – “Please provide a Valid certificate for ITIL 4 Managing Professional. This must be sent to UKStratComDD-CM-CCT-Group@mod.gov.uk by the advert end date.” 5. Can you please confirm if the budget is £900 or £500 ex VAT a day? The maximum day rate is £900 per day.
