NRW Active and Sustainable Travel Plan

Natural Resources Wales wish to engage a supplier to develop an active and sustainable travel plan. NRW is currently renewing staff working policies and practice post-covid, and one environmental objective for 2022-25 include Active and Sustainable Travel (A&ST), with specific commitments to: • significantly reduce commute emissions; • maintain and expand “Cycle Friendly Employer” accreditation (currently in place in some offices); • improve facilities for A&ST (cycle storage, changing room etc); • enable A&ST as a mode of transport also to external customers/visitors; • actively contribute to regional Healthy Travel Charters NRW already has a staff Active and Sustainable Travel Group promoting such travel for commuting and business purposes. The aim of this project is to acquire dedicated resource to bring together current capabilities and future goals and recommendations into one place (an active travel plan), with buy-in from the NRW Executive, and strategic dissemination across the organisation.
