Heating Upgrade Works

Tender description

This project entails the installation of a new radiators and heating flow and return pipework for the school building at St John’s College De La Salle, Le Fanu Rd, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10. Two new extensions were added in 1970 and the second in 1983 which has a floor area of approximately 3500m2. The school is mainly a single storey building with a small 2-storey building near the road. The boiler plant consists of 2 No. 170kW gas fired boilers, which are being retained. The scope of the works will be as follows: • Decommissioning, stripping out and removal from site of the existing LPHW Flow and Return Pipework and existing radiators. • Supply and Installation of new Radiators, 2-port valves and Flow and Return Pipework as per drawings • Supply and installation of 1 new automatic fill unit and expansion vessel. • Supply and installation of new LPHW pumps. • Retain the existing pipe loops and provide new flow and return lphw pipework connections to each pipework loop. • Insulation of pipework. • Supply and installation of local heat recovery ventilation units in the classrooms as indicted on the drawings. • See drawings for areas where these works are to be carried out. • All associated electrical works for the project. • All builders’ works associated with the above.
