The Conversion of existing classrooms to proposed special educational needs (SEN) classrooms at Ratoath Junior National School, Fairyhouse Road, Ratoath, Co. Meath – roll number 00885T. The proposed works involve the stripping out of 3 No. existing ground floor classrooms (Room No’s 17, 18 & 19) (total floor area = 234m2) and fitting out same to provide 2 No. Special Educational Needs (ASD) classrooms and a central activity space for the use of both classrooms. In addition to the internal classrooms works, the proposal also includes the introduction of a sensory garden and outdoor playground zone directly accessed from the new SEN classrooms and associated activity room. The works also include perimeter fencing within the school campus.
