Job Title: Solicitor - Childcare (Safeguarding and Education) Rate of Pay: £23.09 - £25.70 per hour (Inside IR35) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, B69 3DE Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Temporary (Agency) 12 weeks with a view to extend Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are looking for a Solicitor/Barrister to join our busy and supportive team dealing with children safeguarding. The postholder will provide legal advice and advocacy to support the child protection function and in applications under the Children Act 1989 and Adoption and Children Act 2002. Caseworker support will also be available. A qualified solicitor/barrister is required with experience of providing child protection legal advice and advocacy who can work with minimal supervision.
