PURCON2001 M&E Refurbishment of Suffolk Terrace a DHW Plantroom - AWARD

The University of East Anglia's Ziggurats Norfolk and Suffolk Terrace are Grade 2 * listed and are an Iconic part of the Universities residential accommodation space. Designed in the early 60's by the renowned architect Dennis Lasdun, they have provided annual accommodation for 750 students, whilst in study at the University. The Ziggurats themselves are inline for full refurbishment in the coming years, however, during the period leading to this full refurbishment the University is at risk of having to vacate this accommodation space in the event of the failure of the DHWS due to it being life expired. The University has a total of five DHWS plantrooms in Norfolk and Suffolk Terrace and is looking at appointing a Principal Contractor to undertake the following :- 1. The installation of 4 x new LV supplies from Suffolk Terraces main panel to Plantrooms A,B,C and D. 2. The installation of new DHWS system, controls and electrical upgrade in Plantroom A only. Inc the full chlorination both Suffolk A and B blocks on completion of the works circa 350 outlets These works are to be completed by 31st July 2023 as a phase 1 project.
