Provision of Stray Dog Kennelling Service

Tender description

The provision of the Service by the Contractor shall include: (a) Provision of housing for all stray dogs brought to the kennels by the Dog Wardens and/or appointed contractors duly delegated to collect stray dogs, Officers of the Police or Members of the Public by prior agreement. (b) Provision of housing for all dangerous dogs seized by the Dog Wardens. (c) Collection of prescribed fees for seized dogs and transfer of the fee to the Authority as agreed. (d) Collection of boarding charges for seized dogs (e) Release of seized dogs to their owners on payment of charges (f) Maintaining records of dogs brought to the kennels (g) Making provision for the disposal of unclaimed stray dogs (h) Make provision to collect and impound stray dogs as directed by County Council agreement, utilising a vehicle provided and maintained by Pembrokeshire County Council. This seizure of strays will be in accordance with delegated authority under terms of The Environmental Protection Act 1990.
