Provision of ESOL Contracted Training for Longford and Westmeath Education & Training Board (LWETB)

Tender description

• Design and deliver effective ESOL programmes • Experience of teaching adults (18+) • Holds a qualification in the relevant subject area • Create and maintain an atmosphere suitable for learning • Motivate and support students • Apply a range of assessments techniques suitable to learner groups • The ability to integrate I.T. based learning, literacy development and other pedagogical skills and approaches • Familiar with certifying bodies such as QQI, Cambridge, Trinity Skills, City & Guilds • Tutors must possess the skills necessary to deliver the learning objectives. Data management in relation to learners for example registration, attendance, assessment/achievement records must be kept in an efficient and accurate manner and at all times be in-compliance with guidelines and policies of the ETB. It is broken into 3 Lots 1) ESOL Classes – Tutor & Premises Required 2) ESOL Classes - On Line Courses 3) ESOL Classes Only - Tutor only provided by the Contractor The services concerned will primarily be required at the following locations: Athlone, Mullingar and Longford, but may be required at other further education and training centres or community settings in Longford and Westmeath.
