E-Commerce Support Programme (Business Gateway)

Tender description

This tender process is for participation in the Contract for E-Commerce Support Programme. This service is exclusively for Business Gateway clients in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area. This programme will provide each successful retail applicant a 12-month subscription to Shopify and 2 days 1-2-1 set-up and training support. This programme will help retailers create and launch a new Shopify website from scratch including delivery of some or all the businesses. This service is exclusively for Business Gateway clients in the Dumfries and Galloway Council area. Once a business has been identified as requiring expert Ecommerce Support, the provider will be required to work with said business up to a maximum of 2 days. The Consultants will be expected to respond flexibly to service, and client needs as they arise. Consultancy session can be done as part days, in person or virtual. This programme will provide each successful retail applicant a 12 month subscription to Shopify and 2 days 1-2-1 set-up and training support. This programme will help retailers create and launch a new Shopify website from scratch including delivery of some or all the following, for each business. Buy a domain name for one year. Buy one year of the Shopify Basic plan. Sign up with Shopify. Choose a theme. Build web pages. Add the first few products and train staff how to add products. Connect to other sales channels. Set up the checkout. Set up a payment gateway. Set up email notifications. Install analytics tools. Add contact us, Set up shipping options. Inform retailer of the online training and support from Shopify. After launch support to answer queries from retailers It is expected that the contractor will have to deliver via a mixture of face-to-face meetings with clients, for example at the start of the project and for training, with remote working on the website.
