CPU 3168 Befriending and Hosting Service

Tender description

Nottingham City Council is seeking tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified organisations for the provision of a Befriending and Hosting Service. The service will support families living in the boundaries of Nottingham City who have limited support networks and are in need of support to prevent children requiring care of the Local Authority in the future, by providing community based volunteer led support at a time of crisis. The service will provide:- • Coaching, befriending and mentoring support for children and young people, parents, or carers • Hosting for children, overnight safe short stay accommodation for children and young people aged 0-17, for between two nights and two weeks per hosting occasion, and up to a maximum of 28 days per child in any 12-month period. The contract duration will be for 2 years with a possible extension of 2 years at the Council’s discretion. The total contract value is estimated to be a maximum of £252,000 over the total length of the contract (including any potential extensions). The anticipated contract start date will be 16 October 2023. This contract will be let under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
