Tender description

Site 1 - Area 1 Fremington R&R - U429/1/50, U429/1/70, U3124/1/50. Work consists of the overlay of the existing carriageway with 40mm AC10 close surface course. Sections of overlay to incorporate 'Geoflex' stabilisation grid. Overlay to tie in at bed ends will necessitate planing work. Localised areas of 6F3 material imported fill spread and compacted to a depth of 40mm. Site 2 - Area 1 Cotterdale Landslip - U195/1/50 Work consists of an area of excavation 500mm below finished carriageway level and reinstate with 300mm Type 1 Granular sub-base, 100mm AC32 HDM Base course, 60mm AC20 HDM binder course and 40mm AC10 surface course. Plane 100mm off the existing carriageway and reinstate with 60mm thick AC20 HDM binder course and 40mm thick AC10 surface course. Install 150mm diameter filter drain at 950mm below the existing verge level. Excavate RHS verge to a depth of 500mm and reinstate with 400mm thick Class 6N granular fill material and 100mm thick topsoil Dismantle existing fence and replace with new Birdsmouth fencing.
