Lot 1 Commercial Focused Grant Advisory and Support Services Lot 2 Investigator Driven Frontier Research Grant Advisory and Support Services Lot 3 Training Programme Grant Advisory and Support Services Lot 4 Collaborative Academic and non-Academic Research Grant Advisory and Support Services Lot 5 Large Scale Institutional Programme Grant Advisory and Support Services Lot 1: Commercial Focused Grant Advisory and Support Services This lot applies to services relating to commercially-focused grant applications, which often require in-depth market analysis as well as technology/business development and exploitation strategies. Other expertise may be required, particular to each grant application e.g. end-user analysis; regulatory affairs etc. Such grant applications are frequently submitted by a consortium with academic and industry partners as well as other stakeholders. Examples of relevant funding bodies include, but are not limited to: Enterprise Ireland, Horizon Europe including the EIC, Innovative Health Initiative and Industry research funding. Lot 2: Investigator Driven Frontier Research Grant Advisory and Support Services This lot applies to services relating to investigator-driven grant applications in frontier research programmes. Such programmes often include a clear and concise description of research approach and methodology, while showcasing the investigators career progression to date. Applications will often require an outline of the state-of-the-art in a particular field, as well as the identification of current knowledge gaps and potential ground-breaking impacts. Examples of relevant granting agencies include, but are not limited to: ERC, SFI, HRB, Marie Curie Individual Fellowships Lot 3: Training Programme Grant Advisory and Support Services This lot applies to services relating to applications for Training Programmes and Networks. These applications are typically specialised in a particular research area. Training 15 | P a g e programmes may be focused at different levels e.g. doctoral, postdoctoral or lifelong-learning. A clear and concise description of a programme or research and training is often required. Expertise in current national and international best practise in training appropriate to the career stage is required for training networks, in order to design international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary training programmes. This may include researcher career development plans, supervisory/mentoring arrangements, transferable skills training plans and knowledge transfer mechanisms. These applications can be large-scale with multiple international academic and industry partners. Grant mechanisms can be cumbersome and so a detailed knowledge of grant rules, regulations and eligibility requirements is required. Further details required may include market analysis, industry-academic collaboration including technology transfer arrangements; technology development and impact of the programme. Examples of relevant granting agencies include, but are not limited to: Marie Skłowdowska-Curie Actions (ETN/ CoFUND/RISE); HEA; COST Actions; ERASMUS+ Lot 4: Collaborative Academic and non-Academic Research Grant Advisory and Support Services This lot applies to services relating to applications for Collaborative Academic and non-Academic research applications which typically involve large scale, international and inter-sectoral consortia; detailed implementation plans may be required and budgets often require in-depth planning. Further details required will be individual to particular calls but may include market analysis, intellectual property management plan, technology / business development, analysis of project impacts. Examples of relevant granting agencies include, but are not limited to: Horizon Europe PI, PII and PII; NIH; other EU funding outside DG R&I; SFI, EI, IHI Lot 5: Large Scale Institutional Programme Grant Advisory and Support Services This lot applies to services relating to applications for Large-Scale Institutional Programmes. Such programmes may include Research and Development as well as Capital awards. These programmes are typically multi-institutional. Market analysis, policy alignment, pipeline development and sustainability plans may be required. Examples of relevant granting agencies include, but are not limited to: SFI Research Centres; HEA; IHI; large Foundation grants
