Provider Engagement Event: Allerdale Homecare Microenterprise Project

Cumberland Council currently commissions two Homecare Microenterprise Projects one in the Allerdale area and one in the Copeland area. The Allerdale Project is be recommissioned, with current contracts ceasing on the 31st July 2023. Area Description Lot Allerdale Homecare Microenterprise Project Locate and then engage and support local groups/individuals wishing to set up as sole traders and or microbusiness to deliver homecare in their local community. Supporting with training and establishing a business ensuring they have all the relevant insurances and governance documents in place. Working with key stakeholders to make sure the Allerdale Homecare Microenterprise Project is well promoted, and capacity is maximised. 1 In relation to this, Cumberland Council is looking to engage with existing and potential providers to discuss the future delivery of a microenterprise project in Allerdale. The purpose of the event is to: • provide information about future service provision • provide details of the timeline for a forthcoming service tender • enable stakeholders to ask questions Providers are not required to attend to be considered for the tender process but those attending should find the event beneficial, as it will explain the background to the proposed Microenterprise Project and provide insight and information regarding the procurement process to be undertaken.
