Where the supplied staff will work Yorkshire and the Humber Where the supplied staff will work London Who the organisation using the products or services is MOJ:HMPPS Why the work is being done There is a need for Prison and Probation digital services to use a dataset from a single source of truth to manage their journey through prison and probation. The current solutions result in duplicate records and data not being shared, which can lead to error. This dataset will be used by a case management application which will allow our users to progress a person on probation through their sentence journey, tracking their activities and requirements whilst ensuring the data is accessible and reusable. These 2 initiatives also support the 3rd objective of creating a more intelligent sentence plan for people on probation, using data we hold, and information being made available to ensure that a person is accessing rehabilitation that meets their needs best to reduce the potential of reoffending. This will be utilising another delivery of risk assessing people based on their needs to support successful rehabilitation. The business problem you need to solve There is no single source of truth for a person in prison or person on probation data, this creates fragmented data resulting in a poor data experience for our staff and people in prison and people on probation.
