British Library Catering Service Delivery

Tender description

The British Library seeks to renew its catering service contracts and we wish to work with suppliers who can deliver in monetary terms and on our brand values, creating a vibrant partnership through delivery. The Catering Services are split into three Lots. Lot A: Boston Spa Catering Lot B: St Pancras Ground Floor Cafés Lot C: St Pancras Restaurants, Events and Internal Hospitality Lot A: Catering Service Delivery, Lot A Boston Spa Catering at Boston Spa is currently delivered to staff, visitors and contractors within mixed-use spaces. Staff working at Boston Spa also have access to small kitchenettes. Many staff work in offices or spaces in which they are not allowed to eat and drink, so these kitchenettes and the restaurant are important spaces for break times. There is no cultural or major retail offer at present, so the majority of visitors to the site come to access our collections in the Reading Room. We hope to expand our services at this site in the future, as part of the Boston Spa Renewed project. You can find out more about this work here: https://www.bl.uk/projects/boston-spa-plans Lot B: St Pancras Ground Floor Cafés This lot combines two of our smaller outlets with a new opportunity for an outdoor offer. We would like to differentiate between our main building offer and our smaller outlets, which have a more specialist, independent feel. Our Piazza is a dynamic space and particularly vibrant in the summer months. Lot C: St Pancras - Main Lot C comprises of services delivery for Public Outlets, internal hospitality orders, staff catering and our day to day events and conference catering. The four public facing outlets, Members’ room and staff space have the opportunity for a range of offerings and character to ensure there is something to suit every budget, taste, mood and dietary need; ensuring that visitors and staff have choices within the building to rival that in the local King’s Cross area.
