Evaluation in Final Year of Equality Fund

Tender description

The Equality Fund was created with the vision of providing critical supports to civil society that are aimed at strengthening the equality landscape in Ireland while supporting some of the most marginalised communities in the country. It aims to support projects which promote the freedom of civil society, solidarity between groups, and collaborations. The purpose of the evaluation is to understand and assess “what works” at strengthening the Equality landscape in Ireland, and empowering marginalised communities. With this evaluation we also aim to promote organisational learning and accountability. The evaluation will generate information on the results achieved and lessons learned to inform Rethink Ireland and the relevant donors. The evaluation results will also inform future fund design and implementation. This evidence base will be used by Rethink Ireland and the Equality Fund projects for further work in equality including; building future funds, presenting to stakeholders, advising for policy change. The successful evaluator will work with the Fund team (staff at Rethink Ireland) and the key liaison staff from the 11 organisations from the Equality Fund. The evaluation will give evidence and voice to awardees target groups to promote their work at policy and societal level.
