Summary of the work Provide a tried and tested civic and community crowdfunding platform, designed specifically for local authorities and with ongoing support and guidance throughout the contract term. Latest start date Monday 8 May 2023 Why the Work is Being Done To introduce an alternative to grant funding and use the Council's budget in a new and accessible way, so that our residents can be at the heart of civic change. Problem to Be Solved There is not enough community involvement in choosing where to direct funding in projects that matter most to our residents, allowing people to take an active role in the physical and social improvement of our neighbourhoods. Who Are the Users As a community project, I need to attract funding from as many people as possible, so that we can make it happen as quickly as possible and with community backing. Work Already Done Similar solution already being used by a partner Council (Cotswold District). Existing Team Assistant Director - Communities Community Wellbeing Manager Community Funding Officer Project Manager Communications Officer Current Phase Beta Skills & Experience • Be a specialist in civic crowdfunding • Already be working with at least 30 other local authorities • Have an experienced team with the skills to set up campaigns and have maximum impact • Provide a bespoke, Council branded, crowdfunding microsite • Promote the programme and deliver launch events to generate interest • Provide comprehensive project checks and verification before they are added to the platform • Provide comprehensive impact reports • Allow the Council to set project criteria and offer automatic matching of projects to funds Work Location Witney, West Oxfordshire Remotely Working Arrangments Mix of remotely and onsite for marketplace launch events.
