Cambridge City Council - Redevelopment of Kings Hedge Play Area

Tender description

The 2015–2022 Play Investment Strategy has provided Cambridge City Council with a comprehensive review of all the play area provisions within the City of Cambridge, as a result of which, a number were identified as giving poor to very poor play value. One specific play areas has been identified in this tranche of works that requires a full re-design and partial replacement. It has been agreed that this will need to be focused around specific age ranges and criteria as below. • Kings Hedges recreation Ground (The Pulley) is a play area aimed at the 4-14 age range. It currently has climbing equipment, multi play units, swings and some older equipment. Some of the current equipment must be retained in any development as a minimum requirement and its retention will be considered as a pass/fail.
