Tender description

Pre-market engagement

Local Authorities are required to understand the condition of their housing stock (all tenures) and to develop strategies / approaches to address issues of concern. The Housing Act 2004 states that ‘a Local Authority must keep the housing conditions in their area under review with a view to identifying any action that may need to be taken. The Government recommends that this requirement should be satisfied by undertaking house condition surveys at least every 5 years. Liverpool City Council, Wirral Council, Sefton Council and St Helen’s Council are all in a position where they need to commission a piece of work to get an up-to-date understanding of the private sector housing conditions within their local authority areas. The four local authorities are looking to jointly commission the work.
Keywords: housing
