<p>The works comprise the demolition of an existing timber footbridge and replacement with a new steel footbridge (manufactured and installed by others) on piled reinforced concrete abutments. Grid Reference: E352607, N396130. Access to the site is via Merton Bank Road.</span></span><span> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span lang="EN-GB"><span>Rainford Brook is designated as a Main River by the E</span><span>nvironment </span><span>A</span><span>gency</span><span>. Protection of this watercourse will be necessary for the duration of the Works. Liaison with the EA will be necessary.</span></span><span> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span lang="EN-GB"><span>The P</span><span>ublic </span><span>R</span><span>ight </span><span>o</span><span>f </span><span>Way</span><span> leading to the site will be closed to pedestrians for the duration of the works. Pedestrian management will be supplied by the Contractor.
