Specialist Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) Matting and Scenario Rooms

National mandated changes by College of Policing in how Forces should deliver PPST, has led to a requirement of significantly more space than is available at Staffordshire Police. A new venue has therefore been acquired adjacent to the Police Weston Road Headquarters, for use to carry out all Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) for Staffordshire Officers and Staff. Following its refurbishment (taking place in the next few months), the unit will require kitting out with specialist foam matting for the floors, walls and pillars, along with structures and furniture to allow for the safe scenarios to be utilised in training. The Contracting Authority is therefore inviting Tenderers to submit Tenders for the provision of Specialist Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) Matting and Scenario Rooms, as specified within this Invitation to Tender (ITT). Lot 1: Specialist Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) - Matting (Floor, Walls, Pillars) The matting solution proposed will ensure a fit for purpose solution to cover the Unit's floors, walls and pillars to allow for the safe training of police staff and officers. Lot 2: Specialist Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) - Scenario Rooms The solutions proposed will provide replica structures and furniture to support learning scenarios around domestic incidents, prisoner transportation and custody cell extraction. The equipment is required to be durable and robust, allowing for a realistic demonstration of skills through all six levels of compliance.
