Tender description
<p>Stockton on Tees Borough Council are holding a market event to promote the development of a new programme of peer support.</p> <p>The aim to improve the health outcomes and life satisfaction of people with multiple disadvantage and significant health inequalities in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. ‘Multiple disadvantage’ refers to three or more of the following: • Homelessness • Substance Misuse • Contact with the Criminal Justice system • Domestic abuse victim/survivor and/or perpetrator • Mental health problems There is a growing evidence-base for a person-led, peer mentor support, where persistent and consistent contact is provided.
