N16 Manorhamilton to Cornacloy (Phase 1) Pavement Overlay Scheme

Tender description

The project consists of planing and resurfacing and road markings. The overall scheme length is approximately 3.05 km in total. The principal works include but are not limited to: • Mobilisation on Site; • Provision of Traffic Management measures; • General Site Clearance; • Drainage works; • Earthworks; • Planing existing pavement to the required depth and as specified; • Preparing existing pavement for bond coat; • Bond coat to all receiving surfaces to Clause 10.1.4 in accordance with Appendix 7/4 of the specification; • Provision of pavement courses to Appendix 7/1 of the Specifications and Series 900; • Reinstatement of road markings; • Demobilisation; • Other ancillary works. Traffic management will be an important aspect of this Contract in terms of safety and health. During works, the contractor will be required to implement temporary traffic management measures to enable works to be carried out safely. Close liaison will be required between the contractor and both the Road Authority and the Employer. The site is located on N16 starting at Station Road roundabout in Manorhamilton and running in eastern direction for approximately 3km
