Tender description

The City of London Corporation (the City) invites Tenders for the provision of Markets Consolidation Programme – Pre-Surcharging Works. The purpose of the investigation is to construct and monitor a single trial embankment, of similar dimensions and specifications to the main surcharging operations. The pre-surcharging embankment shall be designed and specified using the current knowledge of geology and ground conditions. The aim of the exercise is to update the existing ground model and ground parameters, to account for any potential improvement imposed by the site history. The revised ground model will be used to optimise the design of the main surcharging exercise for the geotechnical design of the foundations.
