UK Seafood Fund Infrastructure Pillar (Round 4) - Recreational Sea Fishing Grant funding is available through the UK Seafood Fund - Round 4 - Recreational Sea Fishing Scheme. This round will focus on projects that improve and develop better infrastructure for the recreational sea fishing sector as well as promoting and supporting environmental sustainability, sustainable fishing practices and the socio-economic sustainability of coastal communities. The objectives of this scheme are to: Invest in recreational sea fishing infrastructure to promote the sport and improve access for those in coastal communities and remote geographical locations. This will contribute to levelling-up by stimulating economic development, encouraging new entrants and improve wellbeing in coastal communities. Contribute to the Government’s targets on Net Zero by investing in projects that seek to reduce carbon emissions over time, support the protection and recovery of the marine environment or operate in an environmentally sustainable way. Promote and support more sustainable fishing practices, including providing training on catch-and-release to reduce fish mortality and, where appropriate, diversification of species.
