Species Recovery Programme An enhanced NE Species Recovery Programme will be launched for 2023-25 to help to improve the prospects of some of England's threatened and priority species, through a major new capital grants scheme that enables other bodies to deliver targeted positive interventions for them. A variety of different species recovery activities may be supported through capital grants, which could include: site-based habitat enhancement & creation works, solution trialling and roll-out, conservation translocations, and potential for new land purchase by third parties
