University of Galway wishes to invite tenders for the Provision of a Public website interface for the University of Galway. Visual design and front-end web development expertise is required to develop a public website interface for a data-driven research project focused on historical financial data. The completed web-based experience should allow users to view, sort, and search the data in list and graphical form. The work will include user interface design (to include introductory materials/tutorials) and data output/visualisation presentation. Key outputs will be a set of data visualizations that will explicate theatre revenues, theatre salary costs, and theatre non-salary costs to the user. The expectation is that there will be 2-3 data visualizations for each of those categories in total. The website will be expected to facilitate standard elements such as displaying a Twitter feed and blog functionality. It is expected that the website will be developed in two phases where Phase 1 will showcase the project-in-progress to the user community and Phase 2 will present the data visualisations. The proposal should also contain costings for the design of a visual identity for the project. This should include a logo, design guidelines and web style guide for use in the creation of both web-based and other digital or print assets, such as PowerPoint presentations. The chosen vendor will be expected to facilitate a workshop to think through the brand and visual identity element. The resource will be built externally and then migrated to the University of Galway on completion.
