The successful supplier will be expected to step in and support the delivery of these projects/services working closely with the DVLA resources in those teams. Alongside this is emergency and urgent work as well as a desire to continually promote DDaT good practice. The Head of Project and Portfolio Delivery/Head of Portfolio Management Office is accountable for delivery of the pipeline. Other key contacts include the Programme Managers/Delivery Managers. The existing delivery teams have many different skills, practices and capabilities, working to deliver the pipeline of work, aligned to the DVLA Strategy. We work with several suppliers and lines of business in agile service teams, operational teams and traditional waterfall project teams. The supplier is expected to flex and work with these teams as required. The current changes are at various stages of delivery in line with the agreed 2022-23 business plan. Live projects span pre-discovery, discovery, alpha, private beta and public beta. New demand is assessed on a fortnightly basis. There are many live operational services. Address where the work will be done Work should be conducted at the supplier’s own site/ from home, or on-site at our office (Swansea) as agreed for each statement of work with the SoW owner/manager. Main Office Address: Longview Road, Morriston, Swansea, SA6 7JL Working arrangements Full Time, 5 days a week The charging mechanism in place for the Call-Off Contract and any agreed Statements of Work will be Time & Materials. Suppliers shall provide transparency to the Buyer on the rates paid to resources & any third parties in the supply-chain on request. Statements of Work will be issued to define the deliverables. The supplier’s team will need to work effectively with existing and future teams (both civil servants & other suppliers). Expenses will only be paid with prior agreement with the SoW owner, and travel to sites required outside of expectations set. All expenses will be in line with DVLA policy. It’s important to provide continuity of resources on any given SoW, for knowledge transfer/efficiency. The supplier will have regular pipeline/performance reviews with Head of Project and Portfolio Delivery/Head of Portfolio Management Office to discuss progress against delivering intended outcomes for each project and suggest/deliver interventions to ensure outcomes are delivered in time, at lowest cost, realising value for the customer. The supplier will work as part of a blended supplier approach, directed by DVLA. They will support DVLAs delivery of improvements, in line with the Agency’s plan. The business problem you need to solve DVLA have a broad portfolio of Digital and Technology work and regularly support the delivery of urgent work to underpin the Governments response to emergencies/critical needs. The unplanned and often critical nature of demand require a supplier to work at pace to meet user needs, in line with wider Government Digital Service Standards and assurances. In order to meet new demand quickly, we often need to call on a partner’s skills, support and experience for a short time to deliver the outcomes of changes. On other occasions, the supplier may be working to support the delivery of longer-term outcomes on a strategic project, as part of a blended team. All need to be able to use the service safely, via the most efficient journey possible. Objectives of the projects and services are aligned to DDaT priorities for Government. The pipeline of work is likely to change over the course of the partnership contract. We need to deliver the proposed outcomes from Digital products and services (to GDS Service Standard) and technology projects in line with the technology code of practice and DVLA Architecture design principles.
