N11/N25 Oilgate to Rosslare Harbour Scheme Phase 3 Archaeological Services Contract Stage (i)i Geophysical Survey

Tender description

The Contract involves the provision of Archaeological Consultancy Services (Stage (i)i Geophysical Survey) for the N11/N25 Oilgate to Rosslare Harbour Scheme. The N11/N25 Oilgate to Rosslare Harbour Scheme consists of approximately 30km of high-quality road which will link Rosslare Europort/Wexford with both Dublin via the MII and Cork/Waterford via the N25. The N11/N25 Oilgate to Rosslare Harbour Scheme is currently at the Environmental Impact Assessment phase (TII Project Management Phase 3). Following a scoping exercise, the Client has identified 62 no. areas where it wishes to have geophysical survey (magnetometer and electrical resistance) carried out. The results of geophysical surveys will help inform the Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment being carried out by a sub-consultant retained by the technical advisor on behalf of the Client. The selection of survey areas has been informed by sites and monuments record dataset and an archaeological assessment of a high-resolution Lidar dataset obtained for the project.
