<p>Wirral Borough Council is seeking to appoint a supplier to undertake an assessment of the Liverpool City Region’s (LCR) Maritime Sector. The intention of this commission is to assess the current state of the Liverpool City Region’s Maritime Sector, acknowledging the changing economic landscape and horizon scanning for emerging opportunities. They will identify the sector’s unique strengths and areas for growth evidenced by the sector’s economic performance to date and the local industry’s growth plans.</p> <p>This report is commissioned by the Port City Innovation Hub (PCiH) project which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authorities Strategic Investment Fund (LCRCA SIF). The aim of the Port City Innovation Hub project is to accelerate innovation in the maritime sector by supporting SMEs from any sector to introduce new products and services to market. As a condition of ERDF, all PCiH project funded activities will complete by 30 June 2023. This assessment will run in in parallel to the end of the Port City Innovation Hub project and will make recommendations for future maritime sector innovation activities based on findings from the PCiH project and market intelligence.&nbsp;</p> Keywords: Maritime Consultancy
