ICT SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EGLINTON YARD AND BARN, GLENARM

Tender description

The Client invites tenders to provide the service for an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) in relation to the development of the Eglinton Yard and Barn (RIBA Stage 3 initially) situated off the Coast Road in the harbour/marina area of Glenarm. The old Barn, which dominates the wider Eglinton Yard (which opens up onto the beautiful Glenarm Bay), is an old structure with great heritage value, being built with a renowned local limestone. It is an environmentally protected structure, which has the potential to be preserved for generations to come, as well as being the hub for this well-situated public space. The public space has the potential to be used for community, civic and commercial activities in the village, bringing economic and tourism benefits. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council have currently implemented Phase 1 works to the Eglinton Yard and Barn for the provision of a new roof structure and covering and sliding doors to the Barn, the demolition of the accommodation block and the making good and stitch repairs to the Barn and Yard walls with work expected to finish in July 2023. It is expected the community to utilise the improved Yard and Barn in the interim period before the next phase of works .The tender is for the provision of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) who must work with the Capital Works Manager, Capital Works Team or his designate to ensure all duties required under this appointment are being carried out to the satisfaction of the Employer.
