EXPRESSION OF INTEREST PLEASE RESPOND BY 12:00 PM ON FRIDAY 31 MARCH 2023 BY EMAILING PROCUREMENT@SOUTHKESTEVEN.GOV.UK Objective South Kesteven District Council requires a contractor to undertake repair and protection works to a 10 metre section of the river bank of the River Witham as it runs through Grantham, Lincolnshire (grid reference approximately SK 91938 35149). The works involve the repair and stabilisation of the river bank due to current bank slumping. Repair works will be limited to 10 metres of the main river bank and must be undertaken using only natural materials, as per an FRA13 exemption. The works are to be funded from The Witham Slea Blue Green Corridor project. This is a £1.2million partnership project funded by the European Regional Development Fund, South Kesteven District Council, North Kesteven District Council, Environment Agency, and National Trust. It is designed to restore and reconnect the river and river corridors through the urban reaches of both Grantham and Sleaford, consisting of the delivery of 14 projects, over 2 river corridors, running through two towns.
